We are proud to share that Susy Jose-Soissa from Aspira, Villa da Vinci is part of the Jean Tweed Centre Executive Leadership Committee. Last year, a few of us attended their Gala, and this year I would like to extend the invitation to our Age-Friendly Consulting members.
The Giving Hope Gala is The Jean Tweed Centre's signature fundraising event, taking place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Venu EventSpace in Vaughan. Funds raised throughout the evening help ensure women, children, and families have access to life-changing, trauma-informed programs and services that support healing, recovery, and hope.
Each year, The Jean Tweed Centre impacts the lives of approximately 16,000 women, children, and families through more than 32 free programs and services delivered across seven locations. From community-based counselling and family supports to transitional and supportive housing for women and their children on a journey toward safety, stability, and recovery, the Centre provides compassionate, evidence-informed care to women, children, and families from communities across Ontario.
The organization supports those impacted by gender-based violence, housing instability, substance use, mental health, and related challenges, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
If you would like to join us at the Community table (s), please let me know as soon as possible. We have included the sponsorship details for the event.
