EAPO in partnerships with CEASE International (Countering and Ending Abuse via Structured Evaluation) is pleased to host a 3-day virtual Older Adult Risk Assessment Training Course: Harm to Older Persons Evaluation (HOPE).


Facilitated by:  Dr. Jennifer Storey, a Forensic Psychologist, specializing in violence risk assessment and interpersonal violence.

Dr. Storey, author of HOPE, will facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions to provide participants with the skills and tool needed to assess the risk of of older adult abuse, through considering the abuse, victim and perpetrator


This training will guide participants in the completion of a comprehensive assessment of risk for future older adult mistreatment (OAM) and in the development of a management plan to reduce the likelihood of continued OAM.


Trainees will be provided a Certificate of HOPE Training from Dr. Storey at the completion of the training.

Facilitator

Dr. Jennifer Storey


Jennifer's research focuses on the assessment and management of violence including older adult abuse, stalking, and intimate partner violence. This work has been funded by national and international organisations like the WHO, the NIH and the UK Home Office.


Her research has an applied focus, seeking to reduce victim harm, and includes working closely with and training practitioners including police, social workers, nurses, and mental health professionals.
