October is a month of Thanksgiving in every sense of the word. With gratitude in our hearts, we open up more to the positive side of life and tap into happiness more easily. Being “happy” has a domino effect on those in our circle to inspire, empower and support—and that’s just the beginning of infusing life with overall wellness that starts within!
We are so proud to launch our new online presence this month! For over 40 years, Verve Senior Living has been committed to inspiring and supporting you – our residents, their family, friends and caretakers. We continually make improvements in every aspect of our organization to support that commitment, and the freshly designed VerveSeniorLiving.com reflects our dedication to provide best-in-class care.
Visit VerveSeniorLiving.com today for an immersive experience that is just the beginning of your journey with us. We’re excited to have you here.
Happiness at a Verve residence is being social and celebrating the little things. Last month our residents took part in National Read a Book Day, Eat an Apple Day, and delighted in International Chocolate Day!
Discover this and many more fulfilling opportunities to be inspired at Verve.

October’s star ingredient: Pears Sweet and packed with health benefits, these highly nutritious bell-shaped fall favourites are the star ingredient in this month’s Living Loving Local menu. Full of Vitamins C and K, potassium and antioxidants, pears also contain copper, which can have positive effects on immune functions, cholesterol metabolism, and nerve function. Pears also help with gut health through a high fiber content and have anti-inflammatory properties. Watch the full cooking demo by Chef Todd Westlake and download the recipe here.
October is generally a month for family and those close to us, as we give thanks together on October 10th! It’s a big step, and requires open communication. Check out our tips on the blog for how to start the conversation.
